Product story

Powered by light. Designed to keep time visibly alive.

A solar-powered everyday chronograph featuring the Epson VR42 movement, a sunburst enamel-lacquer dial, central running seconds hand, and ceramic tachymeter-inspired bezel.

Solaris is a modern solar-powered chronograph designed around visible motion and light.

Powered by the Epson VR42 solar chronograph movement, it offers a low-maintenance daily wearing experience while staying true to the Solaris idea: time continuously driven by energy. Unlike traditional chronographs where the central hand often remains still until activated, Solaris uses a central running seconds hand to keep the dial visibly alive throughout the day. The three sub-dials handle chronograph functions independently, creating a clear separation between everyday timekeeping and timing.

The sunburst enamel-lacquer dial captures light with subtle depth and warmth, while the ceramic tachymeter-inspired bezel preserves the speed-driven visual language of classic chronographs. The result is not a track-only instrument, but an everyday chronograph shaped by light, motion, and modern functionality.

Why VR42?

We chose the Epson VR42 not to imitate a traditional mechanical chronograph, but to create a more practical solar-powered chronograph for everyday wear. Its central running seconds hand keeps the dial visibly alive throughout the day, while the three sub-dials handle chronograph functions independently. Powered by light, the movement reduces battery maintenance and gives Solaris its core identity: time, continuously driven by energy.

Sunburst Depth. Enamel-Lacquer Warmth.

The Solaris dial combines a textured brass base with a sunburst effect and a thin enamel-lacquer finish. The result is a dial that captures light with subtle depth and warmth, shifting gently under different angles. It reflects the Solaris idea itself: light, motion, and quiet energy.

Ceramic Bezel, Speed-Inspired

The ceramic tachymeter-inspired bezel preserves the visual language of classic chronographs without pretending to be a track-only instrument. It frames the dial with a sense of speed and structure, while the ceramic material adds scratch resistance, color stability, and a refined glossy finish for daily wear.

Clear Time. Independent Chronograph.

The central seconds hand is dedicated to everyday timekeeping, keeping the watch visibly alive in daily wear. The three sub-dials handle chronograph functions independently, creating a clear separation between reading the time and measuring elapsed time.

Three Registers. Clearer Function.

Structured around its three-register chronograph layout, Solaris brings balance, clarity, and function to the dial. FAQ

DO THE WATCHES HAVE LUMINOUS MARKERS?

Yes. Solaris features BGW9 Superluminova, helping the watch remain readable in low-light conditions.

ARE YOUR WATCHES AUTOMATIC OR QUARTZ?

Solaris is solar-powered. It uses the Epson VR42 solar chronograph movement, which is powered by light and designed for low-maintenance daily wear.

WHAT KIND OF MOVEMENT DOES SOLARIS USE?

Solaris uses the Epson VR42 solar chronograph movement. It keeps the central seconds hand running continuously for everyday timekeeping, while the sub-dials handle the chronograph functions independently.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THE VR42 MOVEMENT?

We chose the Epson VR42 because we wanted Solaris to feel alive in everyday wear. On many traditional chronographs, the central hand remains still unless the timing function is activated. With the VR42, the central seconds hand runs continuously for daily timekeeping, giving the dial a constant sense of motion while the sub-dials handle the chronograph functions independently.

WHY DOES THE CENTRAL SECONDS HAND KEEP MOVING?

The central seconds hand is used for everyday timekeeping. This keeps the dial visibly alive throughout the day, while the chronograph timing functions are handled by the sub-dials.

IS THE BEZEL A FUNCTIONAL TACHYMETER?

The bezel is tachymeter-inspired and reflects the visual language of classic chronographs. On Solaris, it also serves as a durable ceramic design frame for everyday wear.

WHAT MAKES SOLARIS DIFFERENT?

Solaris is designed around light and visible motion. Its solar-powered movement reduces battery maintenance, while the continuously running central seconds hand gives the dial a lively sense of movement throughout the day.

HOW SHOULD I CARE FOR THE WATCH?

Avoid strong impacts, extreme heat, and exposure to chemicals. After contact with salt water, rinse the watch gently with fresh water and dry it with a soft cloth.

HOW CAN I TRACK MY ORDER?

Once your order has shipped, you will receive a tracking number by email. You can use it to follow the delivery status of your order.
