PRODUCT OVERVIEW

AETHELSOHN Glacier Blue draws inspiration from the layered surfaces and natural formations of glacial ice.

The dial is designed around a glacier-inspired texture, capturing the irregular depth, ridges and changing surfaces found across frozen landscapes.

Its brass dial is formed through hydraulic pressing to create the dimensional glacier pattern. A subtle sunburst finish is then applied across the surface, adding controlled reflections without overpowering the underlying texture.

As light moves across the dial, the raised and recessed details catch illumination differently, allowing the mid-blue surface to shift between softer highlights and deeper blue tones.

The result is a dial that feels structured yet organic — combining the visual depth of glacial ice with a restrained interaction between texture and light.

Powered by the PT5000 automatic mechanical movement, Glacier Blue is paired with a 316L stainless-steel case and bracelet, a box-domed sapphire crystal and 100m / 10ATM water resistance.

DESIGN INSPIRATION

Glacier Blue is inspired by the surface of glacial ice.

Rather than reproducing a perfectly uniform pattern, the dial interprets the ridges, fractures and layered structures found across a glacier.

The brass dial is shaped through hydraulic pressing to create its glacier-inspired relief.

A subtle sunburst finish is then applied over the textured surface.

This sunburst treatment is intentionally restrained. Its purpose is not to dominate the dial, but to help light travel across the raised and recessed areas of the glacier texture.

As the viewing angle changes, different parts of the dial catch the light, creating changing highlights, shadows and blue tones.

The result is a textured dial that reflects the depth and cold clarity of glacial ice while remaining clean and wearable.

DIAL DESIGN & CRAFTSMANSHIP

Glacier Blue begins with a brass dial formed through hydraulic pressing.

The pressing process creates the raised and recessed glacier-inspired texture across the dial surface.

After the texture is formed, a subtle sunburst finish is applied.

Unlike a conventional highly reflective sunburst dial, the effect is deliberately restrained. The fine radial finishing works together with the embossed glacier texture, allowing light to move differently across each raised and recessed section.

This combination of hydraulic-pressed texture and subtle sunburst finishing gives the dial its depth and changing visual character.
